台幹在北京...「我想留在大陸！」 Entry for January 24, 2007北京的太平洋百貨座落在外國人密集的使館區，對面就是夜夜笙歌的著名酒吧街三里屯。從太平洋百貨大門口那一條工體北路，一直往東，過了東三環的長虹橋，就到了朝陽公園西門，我在北京的公寓就在那附近。從我們家開車不用十分鐘就可以到太平洋百貨了。這個百貨公司整個感覺很「台」，和台北的百貨公司感覺很像，很多專櫃和品牌都是台灣的。而又因為毗鄰使館區，B1超市裏面有很多來自日本或是歐美的外國食品。因為近，這個熟悉的台灣百貨公司，自然而然成了我們夫妻購物逛街的第一選擇。
那天在B1超市買東西，遠遠的看見一個年輕人，覺得怎麼有點面熟。不禁走上前去看個仔細，在兩眼相對幾秒鐘後，年輕人上前自我介紹。沒錯，他是大約在2000年在奇摩站打工的工讀生阿仁。雖然那時我和他沒有太多的接觸，但在辦公室走來走去，我是知道有這麼一個員工。那時的阿仁還在唸大學大眾傳播系，在奇摩的行銷部做一些活動安排的工作。記憶中阿仁還是個白晳瘦弱的青澀大男孩，眼前的阿仁西裝革履，一付有為青年的樣子，身材也比幾年前大了兩號，他說這是在海軍陸戰隊訓練出來的。阿仁退伍以後曾寄了履歷到台灣雅虎，但似乎不知什麼原因沒有錄用。之後工作轉換幾次，然後就被派來了大陸，這也讓我們在六年後能在這遙遠的北京再次相逢。
阿仁的公司是一個台灣本土品牌的藝品公司。在台灣的大百貨公司設有專櫃。這幾年跟隨台灣百貨業的腳步也進入了大陸，在北京及上海幾個大的台資百貨公司內也設了專櫃。阿仁本是派來架設中國區的網站的，卻因上層台幹離職，他就陰錯陽差的待了下來。現在他成了北京區的負責人了，也是唯一的台幹。看著他略帶稚嫰的臉龐，搭配著成熟穩重的深藍色西裝，有模有樣的指揮著年紀可以當他媽的專櫃小姐進進出出，還真為他覺得高興哩，好一個奮發向上的台灣青年！
其實，阿仁的生活並不容易。剛出社會的他，經濟並不寬裕。加上天性節儉，又不太會做飯，泡麵成了他最常吃的晚餐。大陸的泡麵口味他吃不慣，所以每次從台灣來大陸，他的行李都裝了滿滿的台灣泡麵和罐頭。我告訴他有一家專門賣台灣食品的公司，從泡麵、貢丸、沙茶醬，到蝦味仙、乖乖….應有盡有，而且可以送上門。阿仁試訂了一次後高興的告訴我，以後他不用再從台灣帶泡麵來了。從此他的晚餐成了泡麵加貢丸再加上一大勺的沙茶醬。
阿仁的公司是一個典型的台灣中小企業。老闆蓽路藍縷的創立了公司，對公司的治理也是非常節儉。雖因為外派，薪水比台灣同職級高了60％，但其他的福利卻是很難和外商公司相比。住是住在公司裏，一年只能回台灣二到三次。出外辦公最好坐公車或地鐵，去上海或其他城市出差一定是坐火車，睡在窄窄的臥鋪上過一夜，第二天一大早立刻就要工作了。阿仁的工作因為是百貨業，除了週一到週五要在辦公室裏，週六日還要去賣場。除了回台北以外，基本上是沒有那一天放假的。其實，這大概是很多台幹在大陸的寫照吧。外放薪水多，但生活上卻是挺刻苦的。 像是阿仁，一個人在北京，人生地不熟，又沒有什麼台灣人的朋友，除了物質上的缺乏，心靈上更是苦悶。
這幾年我發現老同事老朋友一個接著一個的來了北京。如果從4年前算起，我算是第一個，再來 KIMO 原來的CFO是第二個。然後有去中國 Google 的，有加入香港公司外派來的，有加入大陸網易公司做銷售副總的，有隨丈夫來北京再找工作的，再加上阿仁，算算有七八個，一個接著一個都過來了。總覺得好像冥冥中有一股力量，把大家一個一個的拉了過來。我在北京因為家人跟著，日子還算好過。但大多數的台幹卻是離鄉背景一個人來到中國為事業打拼。如果是跟著刻苦慣了的台資企業，那生活條件就更次一等了。但不知為什麼，即使日子那麼不好過，腳踏實地的台幹們還是絡繹不絕的一個個來到了中國為台資中資外資打天下。
了解了阿仁的生活，我和太太就三不五時的找他出來吃飯。那天晚上太太在家做了台灣油飯，我們打電話叫阿仁過來一起吃，順便看看台灣的電視節目。（我家裝了衛星）。阿仁連吃三碗油飯，直說這真是家鄉的味道。我們看他吃的都快飆淚了，索性把剩下油飯都給他包回去。據說他當晚午夜又把油飯拿出來吃個精光，因為怕到第二天早上就不好吃了。晚飯後看電視，問他想看什麼，他說只要是台灣的電視都好。週六晚上的不二選擇當然是張菲的綜藝大哥大加Local King 的我猜我猜。就這樣我們過了一個台味十足的週六夜。
那天晚上，我看著阿仁喜滋滋的吃著油飯，我不禁問他，如果台灣雅虎給他一個工作機會他會不會想回台灣工作啊？阿仁想了一下說 -- 「我想留在大陸耶！」，「回去就是上班而已，可是在這兒什麼東西都是新的，什麼東西對我來說都好有趣。」從他閃著光的眼中，我感覺到他並不以在中國的生活為苦。相反的，我覺得他的眼神似乎告訴著我 「嘿，我看到了世界！」

想當年90'世界盃時，我跟小學同學都有交換這些貼紙呀...當時大家把所有貼紙拿出來都不能完成一本(小孩財力有限)，後來那一本現在好像還在家中，希望沒有被弄掉啦！除了貼紙，我記得當時還有玩紙牌足球，用一些硬卡紙對摺當做人，整夠十一人就去對決。你們有無玩過呀？
而家的小朋友會儲什麼世界盃紀念？現在我諗他們會答:"我的Winning Eleven Save 拿了世界盃呢!" :>

During the holiday of the Lunar New Year, i met many old friends and classmates. Some of them ...i haven't seen them for a long time. Really lucky that we can have a chance to have a drink again as some of them are relocated to different places all over the world. I found all of them had good achievement on what they liked!! I am really pound of you!! Indeed, some of them we knew each other for 20 years!! Wah... I am only 25... How many good friends have you still keep contact over 20 years? :> I really treasure our friendship over the years!!

I can't remember why I skipped seeing this film in the cinema; instead I bought the DVD for a long time ago because it did so well at the Oscars. Recently i found it under my desk and played it. I was stunned. Hilary Swank, Clint Eastwood, and Morgan Freeman give fabulous performances. The story is simple; a crusty old trainer whose heart is melted by a spirited young fighter and turns it into a glowing, somber meditation on friendship, ambition and death.
I loved this movie coz what it says to people who ignore the failure staring them in the eyes and step bravely towards a goal that gives meaning to their lives. Million Dollar Baby is one of the best films to come out in years and shouldn't be missed.
Randy Siegel in the New York Times speculates on what the Google homepage might look like in the far future (it allows you to search not only the web, but friends, family, ex-spouses, tax records, music, your future, and other people’s conversations).
It was revealed that Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) was interested in teaming up with Time Warner's (NYSE: TWX) AOL, you just knew that Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) wasn't going to take this lying down. There was too much at stake in the lucrative paid search space for Google to give up so easily. After a week, Yahoo also show his interest to buy AOL too. Woo... AOL is hot suddenly.

Finally the user of Yahoo messenger can talk with the user of MSN Messenger in Q2 2006. That's definitely a good news for users. In US, it help to flight with Google and AOL. While in China, that should be a big impact to QQ. The stock values of QQ drop 10% once the news was announced. (Luckily i sold all my shares for QQ (0700.HK)).

一些學者心中有“我是一名知識份子”這根弦嗎？作爲經濟學家充當權貴資本的門客，滿口胡說；作爲教授幹出嫖娼的勾當，辱盡斯文；作爲學者爲評職稱抄襲剽竊，不要顔面；作爲教員醉心于奔小康而扔下學生，惟利是圖——昔日知識份子的職業榮譽差不多被一些人敗光了。
一些商人敢正視“我是一名商人”的自我拷問嗎？假酒、假藥、假奶粉，誇大其辭的效果宣傳，各種對人體有害的添加劑，陷阱重重的促銷手段，無數的商業騙局——誠信的職業品質失卻後，商人越來越不被社會尊敬。
還有演藝明星不堅守“我是一名演員”，偏要跑到高校去當教授當院長；醫生不敬畏“我是一名醫生”，收紅包開高價藥無所不用其極；運動員不在乎 “我是一名運動員”，整日廝混於演藝界和娛樂圈——毋庸諱言，我們的社會彌漫著這種職業錯位和角色失範，對自己從事的職業缺乏嚴謹的職業原則，更多的是這種輕浮的、自暴自棄的自我定位：不就是一個當官的嘛，不就是一個醫生嘛，不就是一個商人嘛，不就是一個教授嘛——這種“軟約束”基礎上，社會分工的混亂應運而生：當官的不像當官的，經商的不像經商的，教書的不像教書的。
從這個角度看，劉翔“我是一個運動員”的嚴正告白給了社會一記響亮的耳光：別不把自己當自己。

Well, the actor that played in Superman films, Christopher Reeve is dead. Of course, Superman isn't dead but for many of my generation, Superman was Christopher Reeve and vice versa.
I respect his contribution as a spokesman for the various disabilities organisations he supported. The last time I saw him on the show which portrayed him as a manipulative disabled husband who conspired with his brother's wife (and his lover) to kill his brother and frame his wife. Of course, it's revealed at the end and the moral was that just because you are disabled doesn't mean that the world should perceive you any different. You can still be a good or bad person.
Also i repect him for his cling. "As Chris once said, so many of our dreams at first seem impossible, then they seem improbable. And then when we summon the will, they soon become inevitable,"
Now I'm sure all the TV networks around the world will now be able to cash in on Superman re-runs.
Less than 2 years ago, i heard someone said the browser market is over. Mircosoft IE takes the dominant places. For any web design, just make the best fit for IE(ignoring other browsers). Anyone else see a trend here? Firefox is ramping up as fast as IE is ramping down. Anyone else see that mozilla reach 1 Million downloads in just 4 days after its 1.0 Pre-release? Don't undervaluate the effort of open-source!!
